The Institute of Astronomy & Geophysics are pleased to invite you to The International Conference on Astronomy & Geophysics in Mongolia 2017 which will be held in capital Ulaanbaatar between 20th July and 22nd July, 2017. The main objective is to provide modern update knowledge in astronomy & geophysics theory and its applications, as well as of current developments in related experimental areas. The scientific program will include invited and contributed talks, whose selection will be guided by the Scientific Advisory Committee and by the Local organizing committee, as well as poster sessions:
The main topics of the program are:
- Astronomy, astrophysics and space science
- Geomagnetism
- Geodynamics, active deformation, GPS, active fault, paleoseismology
- Large intra-continental earthquakes: Source characteristics, seismic activity, historical earthquakes
- Crustal and lithosphere structures
- Seismic hazard assessment, strong ground motion, attenuation and site effects, microzoning
- Education & Public Outreach
The field-excursion: July 23-26, 2017
The field section “Field-excursion at Mogod active fault area” (Earthquake 1967/01/05, Mw=7.1) will be held at Mogod soum, Bulgan province, Mongolia at the distance 400km between 23 and 26 July, 2017. The accommodation will be in a field campus, which allow you enjoying Mongolian untouched nature. We will also visit the historic place of the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape.

Registration starts on December 1, 2016 at Conference 2017 and will remain open until Jun 15, 2017.
FEE:
Conference - 100USD
Field-excursion - 200USD
The fee covers expenses for the Proceedings, coffee breaks, lunch and dinners of plenary session & closing ceremony, and all expenses of field. The insurance will not covered.

We will circulate draft papers among participants in order to maximize floor discussion.
The primary abstract should not exceed the length of 300 words and submit by 15 May 2017. Please submit your paper as Word and PDF document by deadlines online via the IAG website.
The extended abstract would be up to 6 pages with figures and explanations: as normal type: introduction, data collection , analysis, result and conclusion etc. The deadline is as 15 May 2017. Please submit your extended abstract as Word and PDF document by deadlines via the conference2017@iag.ac.mn (subject: submission of SURNAME, Given Name).
